Run away 11

Chapter 11

***

Rosette's face, once flushed with wine, was now bright red.

Theodore stared blatantly at her flushed face. Rosette's plump, juicy lips, to be exact.

They seemed to take shape under his heated gaze. A tingling, pleasantly uplifting sensation rushed through her wherever Theodore's gaze touched.

Theodore's arms wrapped around Rosette, and he inhaled her dizzying scent at once. It was the same intoxicating scent as last time.

Stronger than the finest fruit wine she drank, and just as intoxicating.

Theodore, seemingly expressionless at first glance, revealed a subtle agitation. A glint of heat in his eyes that he couldn't hide, a tiny movement in his throat.

His face slowly drew closer, as if responding to everything Rosette urged him to do.

Theodore's red, full lips opened slowly. It was slow enough to dodge, but somehow Rosette was frozen, like a prey caught in a spider's web.

Soon, Theodore and Rosette's lips were locked in a deep embrace.

They were so much softer than he'd expected, and the crush of soft flesh encouraged him.

His thick tongue slipped between Rosette's lips, and the erotic act continued as they breathed harshly as they explored each other.

The sharp flavor of vodka cooled Rosette's mouth, and Theodore's hot lips against hers. Somehow, it made her feel even more hungry, and she clung to his chest, the flavor of his liquor penetrating deep into her lungs.

The kiss, which had started out cautiously, was growing more and more passionate. Forcing Rosette's lips wide open, Theodore sank his tongue into the flesh and ravaged it. Her lips tasted so much sweeter than he'd expected.

Their tongues tangled hotly, their saliva mixing. For her inexperience, Theodore led her with such skill that the wet friction of their lips together was erotic.

It was as if time had stopped. Somehow, it made  even more thirsty. Rosette's heart pounded as if it were breaking.

Despite her gasps of protest, Theodore continued to plow into her mouth like a hungry child drinking its mother's milk.

He pushed against her for a long time, as if something inside her had broken.

The deep kiss lasted for a while.

Theodore was so thirsty that Rosette's lips felt like a dessert. Once he started, he couldn't stop. Like a broken brake, he sucked on Rosette's lips, swimming in and out of her mouth, tasting every inch of her flesh.

What began as a kiss of curiosity had escalated and morphed into an unquenchable lust.

Theodore hadn't expected his sudden behavior, but he was willing to comply. Her lips were just as sweet and just as addictive.

Clumsy at kissing, Rosette opened her mouth, eager to receive him. Her vision was blurry and dizzy from the rush of breathing in a drunken stupor.

Sometimes her stomach would clench, sometimes her mind would go blank. It was only because she was tired and drunk, she thought.

Unable to hold back the dizzying sensations any longer, Rosette pressed her fist against his chest to widen the distance between them.

Her tiny fist trembled slightly on his chest. She pushed away from him with such effort, as if she were making a last line of resistance to avoid being eaten.

Theodore was pushed back willingly at her feeble attempt. A long saliva line stretched between his falling lips and Rosette's own. Theodore's tongue licked his glistening lips to taste the sweetness, and the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.

"The wine tastes... good."

The sound of his voice, sobered by the slight lilt, caused Rosette to almost slap him across the chest and jerk out of his hold.

She probably looked ridiculous in her flailing, but it was impossible to think straight right now.

"Well, I guess I'll be off......!"

She slammed the door shut and disappeared, her heart beating erratically as she headed for her room, her face flushed bright red.

Theodore watched her disappear in a panic and downed the rest of his vodka in one gulp.

A few days later.

Rosette, who had vowed to actively roam the palace once the ban was lifted, was still lingering near the unassuming gardens.

The soldiers who had restrained her had returned to their posts and were no longer in sight.

She hadn't left voluntarily, knowing that she would enjoy her freedom when the time came.

With the scent of the garden's flowers in the air, Rosette found herself replaying the events that had been clouding her mind: the deep kiss she'd shared with Theodore a few days ago.

Just thinking about it made her feel hot and her heart pounded as if it would jump out of her chest.

‘What the hell is wrong with me?’

No matter how much she'd been drinking, she'd been swept away by the atmosphere, and it was Rosette who'd fallen toward him first. It was all the more embarrassing because Theodore would have thought she had seduced him first.

'And clinging to his chest.......'

A raw kiss that matched Theodore's wild temper. Out of breath, she almost clung to him, her face flushed once more at the indecency of the act that threatened to reach the depths of her being, but she shook her head vigorously as if to dismiss the thought.

‘Get a grip, Rosette.’

How could she face him again? Rosette thought with embarrassment.

No. It was just an accident, a momentary lapse in judgment because of his handsome good looks.

Even at a party, there were those who grab and lust after anyone they see while intoxicated, and she was no more than an immature child compared to them. Feeling a little better at the thought, she pushed the events of the day to the back of her mind and wandered off to admire the blooming flowers.

Rosette's eyes fell on a freshly bloomed tulip and she breathed in the fragrant scent deeply.

This garden was small, but well maintained, and one of her favorite places to visit when she needed some peace of mind.

There were flowers she hadn't seen in the kingdom of Hercia. Rosette thought to herself that even if she had to leave the Kaisen Empire in the future, she would never forget this view. As she strolled through the garden, she thought to herself.

Her steps were interrupted by a distant presence.

Servants and nobles surrounded a man. A handsome man, clearly standing out from the crowd. It was Theodore, who appeared to be leaving the palace early this morning on some sort of agenda.

Startled by his sudden appearance, Rosette ducked behind a nearby vine.

Once hidden, Rosette poked her head out and began to steal glances at Theodore.

At his side was the longsword Rosette had purified the other day. His steps were as light as feathers, even though he was fully clad in thirty kilograms of iron armor.

His gait alone confirmed the rumors of his monstrous swordsmanship, and his striking appearance caught her eye again.

‘I see. It was that face that mesmerized me.......'

It was probably because of that face that she was so enamored.

Theodore's good looks, which were enough to make her forget who she was, were even more stunning in this light.

He stood well over six feet tall, with a pecs that seemed impenetrable to arrows. His exquisite features were perfectly proportioned, like something out of a myth.

Rumor had it that it was the emperor's good looks that had won the hearts of the people, though his ascension to the throne had been a bumpy one. For the first time in her life, Rosette didn't doubt the rumors.

'So what, he's murderous, blunt, and reticent.’

At the same time, there was one person in her mind: Theodore's woman from the future.

She would appear in the not-too-distant future. But, as Rosette suspected, it would be a hard road. She didn't even know her yet, but she already wanted to offer her words of comfort and encouragement.

It was only a matter of time before Theodore's gaze was drawn to Rosette, who was shaking her head from side to side as her imagination wandered.

"Huh!"

Indeed, he had an instinct of a beast. Theodore noticed Rosette's gaze and turned in her direction.

For a moment, he thought their eyes met... but he didn't see her, for with a swift movement, she ducked back behind a large vine.

Rosette patted her chest, startled by the suddenness of his gaze. She had been surprised a lot lately, and she was not going to live long at this rate, she thought, stroking her jumping chest.

After what seemed like an eternity, she cautiously poked her head out and Theodore was gone.

Rosette patted at her chest again.

Seeing him made her feel uncomfortable and nervous. It would be even more awkward if she ran into him unprepared, especially since they'd just made out so intensely. It was best to avoid him as much as possible for now.
